Artificial Intelligence Revolution: unlocking the future of In-house lawyers.

Associazione Italiana Giuristi d’Impresa (AIGI), the Italian Association of Company Lawyers, member of ECLA (European Company Lawyers Association), will host the 7th edition of the Summer School at the medieval village of Bertinoro (Forlì – Cesena) – Italy.
The Summer School will provide participants with the opportunity to focus on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the legal field, acquiring the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively integrate AI into the daily tasks and activities, while maintaining a strong ethical and regulatory commitment.

The program is addressed to in-house counsels, heads of legal departments and general counsels, who are interested in the transformative impact of AI on the legal sector. The AI comes with significant legal, regulatory and ethical challenges and the course will prepare the participants to navigate the evolving landscape of law in the digital age.
Being the audience composed only by in-house counsels, the participants will have the opportunity to work with colleagues from similar backgrounds, eager to share their experience with other in-house counsels.
The lecture material will be in English, but the lessons will be in Italian unless there are foreign participants or speakers, so it is recommended to have a good command of English.

The AIGI Summer School is a unique opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills that will foster the professional development of the participants and will offer an overview of the practical issues that in-house counsel should focus on, providing how to engage with emerging AI technologies, how to benefit from them, and how to defend against the many legal pitfalls they can create.

At the same time, the AIGI Summer School is an opportunity to meet colleagues and speakers in an informal contest which facilitate networking and to enjoy some free time through social activities organized in Bertinoro.

The course will show how AI will not replace the role of the in-house counsel, but to be a valuable and innovative support to unlock operational time and resources within the legal offices. The course will let participants gain tools and frameworks to think about how to manage change with internal and external stakeholders, how best to take advantage of what AI has to offer, and how to navigate the implementation of AI in business processes.
The lessons will be based on a combination of focused lectures and practical case studies which will be useful to harness the potential of AI, transforming traditional legal processes into more innovative and efficient practices.
The program will be held by experienced senior In-House counsels and by high standing attorneys / academic speakers with strong professional expertise in the relevant fields, offering a comprehensive view of the potential and risks of AI. The variety of speakers will ensure a multidisciplinary approach, enriching the learning experience.
